16728 Mauser Broomhandle Pistol

French Gendearme model. Caliber is 7.63mm. Tapered round barrel is 4" long and has a step at the muzzle. Stud style front sight is mounted on the step at the muzzle. Serial number 432516 and matches on all numbered parts. The barrel and upper receiver have about 85% of the original blue finish with a similar amount remaining on the lower receiver. The milled panel on the left side above the trigger is stamped "GERMANY." Mauser markings on the right side of the frame are excellent. The top of the chamber is marked with the Mauser name and address. Some fire blue finish remains on the extractor on the bolt. Adjustable rear sight is graduated to 500 meters. Small ring style hammer is dull and gray. Two piece checkered hard rubber grips are present with the Mauser monogram present in a shield on either side. Lanyard ring is located on the butt. Frame is machined for attachment of a shoulder stock. Included with the gun is an original pigskin leather flap holster. Compartment is incorporated onto the front of the holster for the housing of a loaded stripper clip. Various cryptic markings are stamped on the inside of the leather flap. Overall condition of the gun is about excellent. Modern handgun rules apply.
