Construction Materials Testing

After Katrina destroyed the Biloxi Bay bridge, connecting Biloxi to Ocean Springs, KSWA was selected as part of the design/build team led by GC Constructors and Volkert, Inc. KSWA provided Construction Materials Testing and CEI Inspectors for the duration of this three year, $300 million project for Mississippi Department of Transportation. KSWA offered a unique solution to the team by mobilizing a self-contained soil, aggregate and concrete testing trailer, with automated data collection, archiving and distribution of results to all stakeholders. At times, KSWA personnel on site numbered as many as 10 technicians and professionals.
